Notes & Combos

Notes: (updated on 08/02/2025)

1. I decided to play a 42 card build due to the impact of the release of the Fiendsmith cards. I wanted to take as much advantage of handtraps as possible and also access my outs to them more often.
2. I play 11 handtraps. I like board breakers too, but I still prefer handtraps.
3. "Droll": Great tech versus Fuwalos and Maxx C. It's good going 1st or 2nd. It can also be discarded by BiHS to search the card you need from deck.
4. "Book of Eclipe" is my preference instead of "Super Poly" or "Forbidden Droplet". Eclipse protects my searchers against "Veiler" or "Impermanence", the other two cards don't, it's the main reason for my choice.
5. "D/D/D Vice Kind Requiem": I don't play the lock, I don't find it interesting. However, it can be very good if it fits your playstyle.
6. "Alba-Lenatus": it's a sacky ace card to get rid of big boards with omni negate dragon monsters, it also catches most people offguard if you set it and just tag fusion. Besides, when I ditch it for Mirrorjade eff, I get BF or Fusion Deployment for next turn as an extender.
7. "Dragostapelia": It's a very good card versus Tenpai and also a good option of fusion when opp banishes Albaz from grave while you're resolving Red Albion eff. It's also nice to fuse when resolving Branded Banishment.
