Notes & Combos
Nothing too spicy here, but Scareclaw has really been written off in the meta. As a result a lot of people don't know how to play against it and make a lot of mistakes.
Creating a fresh account, I reached master V in exactly 100 duels and won 84 of them. I'm happy to provide screenshots if you like, or want more details. Scareclaw is so consistent and some decks just don't have outs.
Tips:
- Reicheart/visas + scareclaw = triheart & baronne
- book of eclipse is phenomenal in the deck going first or second. It's also your main out to floodgate/stun decks
- Try to get two scareclaw names on field before committing to your lightheart. If that gets popped by psy-frame, trapholes, etc you have no follow up.
- Nibiru is the surprise champ of the format. People aren't playing around it, and it can end even dragon link (see replay)
- Best matchups: Tearlament, branded, P.u.n.k, anyone who tries to use Chaos Angel.
- worst matchups: dragon link going second, runick, stun

I know it's not the main focus of the deck, but the Kash package feels very clunky without a copy of Birth. I keep getting into situations where I only open Kashtira cards and everything kind of falls apart.

That was my thought process at first. I use the kash engine as extenders and going second options. Unicorn gives a free body + free rip out of the extra deck, and it helps having that extra body if you get interrupted. This deck has 12 starters, which is about 85% likely to have at least one name. Birth is only useful off unicorn or drawing two kashtiras. You can always add reinforcements of the army or prosperity for consistency if you’re getting rough hands.
