Notes & Combos
Pure P.U.N.K. list I used to climb up to Master 1:
The new support is out so of course I had to play my favorite deck again!
I opted for a pure variant over playing a Kash, FS or Bystial package because to me it feels that the meta requires way too much non engine and I couldn't fit everything if I went for any of those variants.
With that said I also believe that my current non engine ratio isn't perfect either so there's definitely still room for change. Here some things that might be worth highlighting:
-
I generally think that double Deer Note is worth playing in a pure variant, but since I wanted to play more non engine it felt like the best card to cut down.
-
Because of how Rising Scale works I think that it's not a good idea to play over 40 cards in this deck anymore since this card encourages you to always have multiple names in your hand.
-
The Extra Deck still isn't set in stone yet: 3 Synchro 8s is my prefered ratio and would only cut down to 2 if you play another engine like FS for example; 2 Amazing Dragons are now mandatory since you always want at least 1 during your turn 1 and 1 as an interruption, I played 3 for now since Juraishin isn't out yet and didn't know what to add instead and it wasn't that bad surprisingly; Ty-Phon unironically won me a lot of games; Almiraj is now part of some combos so you want it and Aussa was surprisingly useful since she can revive a Maxx C or an Ether Beryl thanks to Blue Eyes being so incredibly popular right now.
-
For non-engine: Droll, Maxx C and Ash are not negotiable; Ghost ogre is searchable so you don't need it more than 1 though maybe playing a second one wouldn't be too bad; you always want at least 1 Nibiru to punish people playing into your draw HT, I played 2 but I can see myself cutting it down to 1; Fuwa wasn't actually that great since BE can play into it very easily but since SE-Azamina-FS is still a thing I wanted a card that can stop them completely; Talents was actually great for me but if you really want to play more HT instead it's a fine option as well.
