But if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like
Nothing changed at all?
April banlist-legal Millennium Fiendsmith Snake-Eye. Because you're replacing Beatrice with both The Zombie Vampire and Pilgrim Reaper, you wind up with one fewer spot in your Extra Deck. I decided to cut Linkuriboh; Knightmare Phoenix was enough battle protection for Apollousa.
Starting from just Millennium, you can still consistently get into your Snake-Eye engine. The Zombie Vampire has 70.5% odds to get you there on its own. If you miss, you can go into Fiendsmith and make Pilgrim Reaper, which, combined with The Zombie Vampire, gives you 91.4% odds to bridge into Snake-Eye in some way through the entire line.
That said, you rarely ever open with just Millennium in this list. You'll often find yourself with opponents who either blow their interactions right away on your Millennium cards, or opponents who are cautious that you can then punish with Photon Lord. I have had to rely on Pilgrim Reaper which, lo and behold, hit OSS to bridge into full combo.
Sure, Fiendsmith Engraver isn't a great starter anymore. It's semi-limited in Master Duel anyway, so it's not like you were seeing him that often, and besides, he still rocks as an extender or as a way to insulate your combo.

More of a funny replay than an informative one, won a game against full Blue-Eyes combo going second.
