Notes & Combos

Finally reached M1, idk if I'll ever try again lol.

I tried various builds, this is what ended up being effective for me, especially in Master. I played more handtraps to start, but imho, handtraps do **** all in this format outside of Maxx, Shifter, and ocassionally Fuwa and Ash. Mourner is slept on, but ate the cut to keep the deck at 40. PoE or PoD would mostly get negated, or just give me more dead draws: I can recall only one duel where PoE bailed me out. TT Talent has/had utility, but so often ended up being a completely dead card.

3x Fissure and Macro because GY denial is essential. With Fiendsmith, White Forest nonsense, Snake Eyes,... too many decks can out-advantage you and just regain board presence. These two + Kash banishes put a halt on that malarkey, and turn off Maxx, Droll, Veiler, etc. Not to mention, opp will usually hyperfocus on removing them, which forces errors you can exploit.

Going 1st is still pretty fragile, but even a suboptimal board with one dude and face-up Macro, Preparations, and Birth can grind down opp until the heart of the cards shows you favor. Nibiru is still the #1 threat. On a full board, you're pretty weak to Triple Tactics, board-breakers, ZEUS (!!!, especially in mirror or against Spright), and >3000 ATK dudes with protections (Dragoon, Chaos Angel, PEP, etc.; Scareclaw + Fenrir on your turn can out these). Going 2nd hope to resolve Shifter and Maxx. If not, try to use your big guys to destroy by battle, then resolve as much of your spells/effects as possible.

All in all, oh yeah we banishin! Anti-meta = best meta? Konami, unlimit Unicorn, Fenrir, Wraitsoth, Shifter, and Diablosis pls.
