Notes & Combos
Something slightly new to try with the hit to throne. Two obvious techs to take note of here: The Kashtira package... and Proxy Dragon.
The idea here is simple:
-You want Varudras out, but can't get him with just a Lotus. You need a Thone or Spirit Gates line to provide resources...
-Except, turns out: the extra +2 bodies from Unicorn and Birth get you there too!
-The issue of Varudras + Soul of Rage creating a super poly vulnerability, and the fact you have no backup Yama to push through destruction, still persists, however...
-Which is where Proxy Dragon comes into play!
Proxy's particularly spicy to play with, and your ideal endboard should have him nestled in between a 2-3 mat Apo, Phantom, and Varudras or Unicorn, if you happened to highroll. As to what this accomplishes?
-Proxy dragon turns whatever's next to it into a functional duster / heavy negate. This means either your Phantom, your Unicorn, or a post-negate Varudras can now insulate you against the backrow destruction Yubel hates...
-But what's REAL fun is that this also triggers their additional effects. If you have throne up, redirecting to Phantom triggers it, letting you special out your second Spirit from deck without ever having to expose Phantom to called by. Similarly, destroying Varudras triggers his second pop!
-This also insulates you against the primary downside of hiding soul of rage in the graveyard, with Chamber now far harder to force out...
-While Proxy's also able to protect Apo through the BP, in case of non-destructive removal on your Nightmare Pain. Threaten an instant Accesscode on turn change!
-The attack totals of Varudras, Unicorn, and Proxy also bring you within spitting distance of lethal even without further investment, creating a battle phase threat even without committing to Chaos Angel - often difficult to bring out after expending resources on Varudras T1...
-While Proxy Dragon itself is neither Dark nor Wyrm, maintaining poly resistance until the moment you have to commit to bringing Rage back into play

I've had fun with this in testing, particularly given folks often waste handtraps on Unicorn prior to real plays; the Kash addition is functionally only a 3:1 brick ratio, and even birth by itself can be pitched for Gates use. Anti-synergy does exist in Map giving up your strat, the hit to your fiend grind game, and an inability to start of turn Phantom before using Kash cards, but most fire the roaches in draw with Gamma at 1 anyway.
