Is this deck fun to play? It might be fun for you (though probably not for your opponent), but it's definitely the fastest way to climb the ladder—at least for me!
Even though it keeps backrow/stun decks in check and make go 2nd better, it completely butchers rogue decks. Hopefully, Konami addresses this deck in the next banlist.

Thoughts on other once a turn hand traps like mouner or belle and cutting down to 1 nib? That or purilia/d.d. crow/droll/D shifter?

Yeah, depending upon frequent matchups, you must change non engine cards and their ratios to counter them.
- Most of matchups I had, were against combo decks. 3 Nibs helped against them when I don't want to get decked out or before they get set up floodgates like secret village/diabellze/protos/gryphon/plasma etc.
- Droll conflicts much with Maxx C/Fuwa/Purilia if draw of both them.
- D shifter with limit is miss in most matchups and don't want to draw it in top deck situation.
- D.D. crow is decent in certain scenarios.
- Mouner/Belle/Purilia not tried(No UR).
