Replay vs. "なんとかなれ~" (Tear Yubel Slop Pile) 🤮
- I'm including this loss because it demonstrates how well the deck can play into massive negate boards (Apo, I:P, counter traps, Kaliedo-Heart, Rulkalos, Yubel). Important take away is the deck is an underdog and there are some unwinnable games.
- 🪙 loss, opponent goes 1st.
- Opponent sets up insane board with 10+ interuptions.
- We draw combo + S.Poly and manage to push through all interuptions and negates, but eventually lose due to 5x Fairy Tail snow uses.
- The game gets slightly grindy but eventually we lose tempo and can't continue to restrict recurrence of ED cards they need to combo and win.
Replay vs. "player" (Tenpai)
- 🪙 loss, opponent chooses to go 2nd.
- Matchup demonstrates the deck's resilience to "9x Maxx C" format.
- Play through DoraDora, Chundra, Kaimen.
Replay vs. "cityofpaju" (Labyrinth)
- 🪙 won, go 1st.
- Including this as a bit of a boring simple game that shows off the mid-range abilities of the deck uninterupted.
Forms of interuption:
- Beast: Spell negate + banish.
- Arsenal: Monster banish.
- Synthesis / Cry: Destruction.
- Clash: Monster negate.
- Ultimus: Omni-negate.
Deck Build Thoughts:
- Deck is very mid-range meaning its prime in this 9x Maxx C format.
- After using the "9x Maxx C" package I decided its not optimal in this deck. Its dead going 1st, and even with the option to banish dead cards to summon from deck it isn't meanintful enough.
- I believe S. Poly is a perfect fit in the deck. Realistically you rarely make Ultimus and only a few times did I wish I had a 3rd Synthesis.
Comments for new users:
- Using the field to properly sequence costs and summons of the Psychics is key.
- Myutant Fusion is basically Branded/Shaddoll fusion if you can bait any form of interaction from opponent.
- Cry needs different attributes so 1x Psychic has to have resolved.
- Resources. Resources. Resources. The deck has a ton of ways to recur card advantage, but it also loses it RAPIDLY. ➡️ Every Lv. 8+ returns a card of the 3rd type NOT involved in its summon to hand on destruction. Often the best way to set this up is to pay cost for their interuption by banishing said 3rd type. IMO this is the highest skill curve the deck has. ➡️ Shotgunning cards like Expansion (in SP) / Clash (on 1st monster eff) is often the right play. This gives you face-up banish fodder for Lv. 8 interuption cost.
