Notes & Combos

I'm short on gems, so I don't have Primite yet, the pure Blue-Eyes deck works just fine. This deck has 15 starters with different qualities:

  • Sage is the best. It takes two hand traps to completely shut him down, which is why Piri Reis Map is worth running, even though I hate paying 4000 LP.
  • Bingo is another copy of Whises. It's also searchable by Whises if you run out of S/T that mention BEWD, which can sometimes happen from the 3rd turn.
  • Sea Horse is the weakest when hit by a hand trap. This is why upgrading to Primite makes the deck competitive, every Primite card is so strong.

Tech Choices

  • The most popular matchup is the mirror. Ghost Ogre on True Light, Purge or Ash on Whises hit hard, so play 3 even if they're hard once per turn. Aware of using Ash/Magnamhut before Purge.
  • Veiler and Magnamhut are hand traps, but also engine.
  • Imperm good on it own, also combos well with Purge.
  • Crossout Designator is good for the mirror. I considered cutting 1 Veiler for it, but since everyone else has Primite and I don't, I decided not to run Crossout.
  • If Blue-Eyes gets hit by Nibiru after comboing, you still have the Trap to pop, True Light for follow-up, feels not bad. So I don't like Nibiru. Fuwalos is bad in the mirror too.
  • Jet Dragon is a good removal tool since this don't have Drillbeam. I like Jet, always play it, it was the best Blue-Eyes card until now.
  • In the Extra Deck, I prefer Azalea over S:P because she can be made with Blue-Eyes.
  • Sea Horse + Blue-Eyes into Legatia: pop 1 draw 1, Sea Horse sends Jet, triggering Jet’s revival. Feels good.
  • Can consider replace Alazea + Legatia with Light Charmer + S:P.
