Do you hate this event? Are you full of despair every time your opponent activates Millennium Ankh? Then fret not cause classic Lunalight fusion is here for you! The entire event felt really easy by just going second otking exodia and marincess decks. You activate some board breakers bait their negates and swing with big monsters as Serena intended.
I didn’t have ultimate slayer to try it, however all the extra deck monsters were valuable on different situations. Book of eclipse is way better than raigeki and dark hole because exodia. Also twin twisters is really important since you can discard key cards such as luna light perfume and serenade dance. Also note that it is really important to bait the spell/trap negate on exodia and resolve book of eclipse duster or twin twisters to turn of the trap that destroys the field. Also careful on the exodia match for the blue eyes card but once that is gone you are free to otk.
Usually you won’t play rabbit, cat and fox but since the power level of the event is significantly lower you can make some nice plays with them for better otk potential and more targets in the gy. Fox can be sent by a card effect to make big monsters 0 attack with lunalight fusion and otk with any of the 4 fusions in your arsenal. Rabbit can bounce opponents backrow which is crucial in this event to remove it early. Cat can double the attack of your fusions and sometimes save you from getting otked if your opponent lets you go first. Tiger at 1 hurts but you have many ways to search it so it wasn’t a big problem.
Extra notes for the exodia matchup since you are going to get a lot of those. Sengenjin cannot be destroyed by card effects such as leo dancer also it cannot be negated by tiger king since it is a beast warrior. Always check for the blue eyes card in the gy if they have it make sure you can summon 2 big monster finishers like arch rebellion or leo dancer which the deck can do easily if you baited and player correct your cards.
