Notes & Combos
The more i play the more i wonder if fs wasnt always supposed to be vaalmonica's second half. It took me the dc grind to understand how much higher the ceiling is. Fiendsmith is both a huge power and consistency boost.
- Triple lurrie: lurrie triggers off discard, and this deck is always going to discard a card to play the game. Just grab your free fiendsmith line. Selettrice, Lurrie and a scale, is apollousa/cesar before you pend summon; scale pitch lurrie, requiem, engraver, normal selettrice add scelta, add invitare, invitare eff, make sequence, sequence eff, lacrima, appo/cesar and then you can pend for 3 because selettrice got back to hand.
- 1 Scelta : the card is nuts, the problem is that it forces you to pitch 1 for scales before playing. Pitching a handtrap for nothing is a big deal, getting ashed is 2 left in hand. Most of the time we will have scales, the gameplan becomes get to selettrice and grab scelta off her, same situation as tales of the white forest.
- No versare, 1 invitare: versare has purpose in fs lines, but you don't NEED it anymore because fs does such work for the deck. Invitare is crucial to get 1 more body to have a real fiendsmith line off selettrice + scales.
- No archetypal traps: same as scelta, broken, but going second is more important; they became handtraps. Desirae + set trap negates droplet, but most of the time if you play correctly you won't need the trap to win going 1st. Still an option for tenpai/stun matchups.
- 2 Tracts; one of the best cards in the deck but you still don't want to draw 2 of them.
- Charmies are extenders. Which means you can run the tenpai Maxx C count without drawback.
- Veilers: imperm is better, but in this deck you end on zebufera with scelta setup in grave to draw 2 during the opp's turn. These cards must be live, just hope tenpai doesn't open field/kaimen.
- Around droll: scales pitch lurrie + selettrice or another scale in hand guarantees fiendsmith line: appolousa cesar. Selettrice is back to hand when you link into sequence, scales get back to ed and you can pend them again. Prioritize getting lurrie + scale first because it combos thru droll with any ns.
- Exciton: crucial for the main line: same as moon in other decks AND allows your dimonno to touch the gy, and you NEED that to play with fs.
- Dweller is what you put next to desirae when you have additional 4s, to not have it negated, and plays around imperm held in hand.

Bagooska appo is nearly also always possible. Zebufera protects appo by its own effect so you're less scared of bp.
