Notes & Combos

This build is not that good but I was in the mood to play something like this in this meta and surprisingly it has been fun. If there are enough floodgates being played in the DC cup, maybe we see them on the next banlists (Copium).

Spyral Snake-Eye decks which are somewhat similar have better access to link materials, so the combo ceiling is higher and more consistent in theory. This deck only runs the Millennium engine instead of the Spyral cards but in return has more space for non-engine.

The intended combo is showcased here.

A lot of times, this play won't be possible, but you essentially try to gather enough materials to end on Apollousa, Firewall Dragon Singularity, Tri-Gate Wizard with an Omni Negate and Knightmare Gryphon + set Anti-Spell Fragrance. If you get to Ancient Fairy Dragon, you can also end on Summon Breaker. This one could be played around though by entering the battle phase early. A better field spell to run could be Necrovalley but it's funny to see the people that sometimes don't read Summon Breaker and play into it.

The concepts behind the Snake-Eye plays for searching a field spell can be found in the Spyral Snake-Eyes video by Two Tone.

Codebreaker cards are for link climbing (2 materials result in 6 materials if done below a link monster with downward + downward left or right arrow).

Recital Starling can further ATK boost Apo.

Since a lot of times you don't really need your normal summon as starting play, you can normal summon Retaliating C if you have access to it, link it off and search Maxx C.

There are a handful utility cards I wish I had space for in the extra deck, but I don't have it.

For a possible 60th card I was thinking about a 2nd Original Sinful Spoils perhaps, since having Snake-Eyes access is pretty important.
