Notes & Combos

Overall, a pretty smooth DLvMax run. The only change I'd consider is adjusting the non-engine lineup to fit in three Drolls.

Bumping the deck up to 60 cards didn’t really hurt its consistency, in my opinion. There weren’t any cards I didn’t want to see, and I could use Flame Swordsrealm to turn any of my monster hand traps into a Warrior for Isolde.

The Flame Swordsman engine primarily served as a starter, but its real value came from the double Book of Moon effects provided by Salamandra with Chain and Flame Swordsdance.

The Extra Deck was very tight. Fighting Flame Dragon was my backup special summon off Flame Swordsdance in case I needed to use the original Flame Swordsman to make Isolde.

I don’t run Ultimate Flame Swordsman since I never summon it, and the Salamandra Fusion card is also expendable—it mainly just ensures I have enough Equip Spells to mill for Isolde.

Bagooska was mainly there as a fallback when my opponent used Maxx 'C'—I wanted to at least have something on the board. However, I never actually needed to use it.
