Notes & Combos
This is a going-second, pure Amazoness deck with the goal of OTK'ing the opponent after breaking their board. This version of the deck usually loses if it cannot OTK on the first turn, going second.
The core strategy is to (1) clear the opponent's board by using kaijus, board breakers, and Ultimate Slayer, (2) enter the Amazon engine with Princess and/or War Chief in order to create an interim board of one fusion monster (other than Augusta) and another Amazoness monster for extra damage and fusion material for Augusta, and finally, (3) end with Augusta for the OTK. Augusta is usually summoned through Amazoness Secret Arts during the Battle Phase (preferred) or Polymerization during Main Phase 1 if Amazoness Secret Arts is already in the GY due to the opponent having milled it.
Opening Hand:
A powerful opening hand normally consists of a combination of:
- 2-3 Amazoness monsters (e.g., ideally Princess and/or War Chief) and/or search cards (i.e., Amazoness Call and/or RotA)
- 2-3 going-second cards (i.e., Maxx C, kaijus, board breakers, and Ultimate Slayer).
Precautions:
- Augusta can only attack twice if at least one of Amazoness Empress or Queen (or Princess if Princess is on the field) is used as fusion material. Otherwise, she can only attack once.
- Pet Tiger King cannot attack on the same turn that it uses its effect to special summon an Amazoness monster from the GY. In the context of the OTK strategy, the Pet Tiger King line would normally only be used if Amazoness Empress cannot be summoned due to lack of materials.
- If Lava Golem or Ra Sphere are used, Amazoness Princess cannot be summoned on the same turn to enter the Amazoness engine. Therefore, War Chief is typically used as the starter to enter the Amazoness engine in this case.
- Ultimate Slayer cannot be activated if a monster from the extra deck cannot be sent to the GY, such as if Dimensional Fissure or Dark Law were on the field.
Misc. Notes & General Advice:
- The extra deck monsters, besides the Amazoness monsters and Spright Elf (rarely used), are solely there for Ultimate Slayer.
- In the Tearlaments matchup, if the opponent's Abyss Dweller's effect is active and you were to use Ultimate Slayer, targeting a fusion monster, it is better to send Skull Wagon or Cyber Eternity Dragon to the GY instead of N'tss because they can be used from the GY on a follow-up turn (if a follow-up turn were to occur).
- This deck has a terrrible matchup into Floo.
Replays

Please note that some of the replays may show ratios or usage of cards that are not in the final deck list (e.g., Pot of Desires, Evenly Matched, Dark Ruler No More, and Ghost Reaper). This is because I was actively adjusting the deck based on the ladder-climbing experience, and so, the deck has gone through several iterations of fine-tuning over the course of the climb.
Top Secret & Selection Packs used

I want to love this deck so much, but it really seems to struggle with consistency.

Best as I can tell, there's just so many board-breakers that actually drawing into the cards you need to DO STUFF becomes rather difficult. Add in that both Lava Golem and Sphere Mode eat your Normal Summon, and you end up with a problem.
-
So far I've adjusted things by changing the 2x Lava Golem/3x Gameciel/3x Sphere Mode into 3x Gameciel/3xKumongous/2x Sphere Mode, as this makes it 2/8 that eat the Normal Summon rather than 5/8, but I'm really not sure what can be done about the engine.
-
It just ends up seeming that in about 60% of my games I'm bricking on board-breakers, and I have no clue what I can do about that. The Amazoness support cards are mostly really slow Continuous Traps and the rest are cards that weren't all that great when they were printed in 2007.

Maybe there's some way to smash Despia into this? Branded Fusion and the Albaz Dragons aren't usable since the Amazoness fusions specifically call out "Amazoness" cards for both of their materials (as opposed to, for example, Dark Magician the Dragon Knight, which can use Albion/Lubellion as the generic Dragon requirement alongside Dark Magician), but Despia, Theatre of the Branded is a reusable Polymerisation that can be searched off Aluber (who himself can be searched off Branded Opening, which would discard some of the bricks to turn them into usable cards).
-
And then... I guess Foolish Burial could get Baby Tiger, Spiritualist, and the Pendulum twins into the GY (where their effects can then be made use of), and Foolish Burial Goods could dump Secret Arts so that you can get Augusta out with just a Polymerisation and any Amazoness card?
-
King of the Swamp can sub in for Princess/Queen and can also search Polymerisation, but it's at 1 and doesn't help you get Augusta out... And then there's The Earth - Hex-Sealed Fusion, which can sub in for anything, but needs to be ON THE FIELD to be able to do it.
-
I dunno, I've wracked my brain and gone through everything I can think of that might push the deck into being consistent enough to actually play, but I'm out of ideas at this point.

(The bullet points are weird, but the site doesn't let you actually break up paragraphs so it comes out as a horrible wall of text if I don't use them.)

Thanks, yea you could make these changes to save on 150+ UR material:
• Swap 1 Raigeki (UR) for 1 Dark Hole.
• Swap 1+ Ra Sphere (UR) for Lava Golem (SR) and/or Dark Hole (SR).
• Swap 1-2 N'Tss (UR) for your choice of Fossil Warrior Skull Knight (SR), an extra Fossil Machine Skull Wagon (SR), and/or an extra non-Augusta Amazoness fusion monster (SR). N'Tss is a monster or spell/trap pop for Ultimate Slayer, but if you have Fossil Warrior Skull Knight and Fossil Machine Skull Wagon as options, you can accomplish the same as you would with N'Tss. It's just that you would have to activate the Fossils in the GY manually, as opposed to N'Tss's automatic activation, following Ultimate Slayer's activation.
• Swap Mikailis (UR) for any xyz monster. Mikailis is for Ultimate Slayer. There doesn't seem to be a good xyz support for Ultimate Slayer for this deck yet until Mereologic Aggregator comes out.
• Swap Paleozoic Cambrostar (UR) for any link monster. Cambrostar is for Ultimate Slayer, but I haven't actually ran into a case where I needed to use its GY effect yet

So from what I understand ultimate slayer is a must? is it possible to cut that too or the deck would be too weak in that case?

I don't think it is a must, but it's certainly very high value for this deck in the current meta. As you alluded to, without Ultimate Slayer, this deck may become a bit too weak because it's one of the deck's key forms of monster removal that does not trigger GY effects [of Tearlaments for example] as Raigeki, Dark Hole, and Lightning Storm would. Also, unlike Lava Golem and Ra Sphere, you can still normal summon on the turn that you use Ultimate Slayer, and it does not have a once-per-turn limitation, which means drawing duplicates of Ultimate Slayer in your opening hand is acceptable. If you were to draw both Lava Golem and Ra Sphere (or duplicates of them), for example, one or the other will be brick(s), which would, then, significantly lower the odds of winning against most meta decks.
What were you thinking of replacing Ultimate Slayer with, or were you thinking of cutting it out of the deck entirely?

Maybe evenly? Evenly hits pretty hard these days when they have a full field. Honestly bolls and other ur seems pretty good, but again for me I just want to make one deck from these amazoness that I have after pulling tears (it's from tear pack right? I actually forgot). I want to have as low investment as possible, so yeah I will follow your suggestion and use the sr replacements. Thank you !
